Sarnath is a famous Buddhist pilgrimage site located near Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment, known as the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta (Turning of the Wheel of Dharma).
